how would you describe your style of photography?

I like to capture the wedding day as natural as possible, meaning I'm not interfering and let the moments unfold naturally.  This gives you the comfort to know that you can be yourselves & to just enjoy your big day.  I have a keen eye at capturing special moments & want to deliver a genuine story of your day.  I try not to be a distraction but will suggest locations/areas for the best lighting (I shoot natural light for majority of the day).  Though my style is very candid-based, I definitely include time for portraits for family, wedding party and, of course, you (the couple).  If you love what you see on my website, then you can expect more of the same. :)

are you available to travel?

Yes!  That is one of the aspects of photography that I enjoy most, where I love visiting new places!  I am available for travel throughout the United States and passport ready for over seas adventures.  I ask for airfare and room to be included, but contact me here & we can discuss all of the details.

how far in advance should we book you?

The sooner the better, but typically, I book 8-16 months prior to the wedding day.  Weddings are booked on a first 'booked' basis, so slots are limited.  The benefit of booking earlier is that it gives us plenty of time to go over the details for the day, to meet in person (or phone call or Skype) & become familiar with one another.  In addition, I try to reserve one wedding per weekend, so bookings are limited.

how many images should we expect from our wedding?  and do we get copyrights?

Typically 600-800 images are delivered on a flash drive with full copyrights and print release.  On average, about 80 photos per hour covered can be expected.

how long until we get our images delivered?

Within 90 days (typically 8-12 weeks); if I can deliver earlier I will, but during peak wedding season it tends to be on the longer end of this range.  This includes your online proofing gallery which can be shared with friends & family.

do you require shot lists?

Typically, no, but leading up to the wedding we will work closely together on your wedding timeline - which is helpful if you're not working with a wedding planner/coordinator.  In the timeline we will specify the times for wedding party, etc.  If you have a photo in mind (ex. Pinterest) feel free to text or email me them and we can try to incorporate them in.  Also, for family photos, I ask for a shot list during this time so we don't miss any groups or family members you want.  Lastly, you will have a lot of guests at the wedding, which doesn't guarantee everyone will be in photos, so if you want to do reception table photos, we will need to allow time for that; this is also where a second photographer is handy.

my wedding venue requires vendors to have liability insurance, do you have that?

Yes, I have liability insurance that covers up to $1 million and can provide your venue a copy of the certificate.  I just hope I never have to use it!

what kind of camera equipment do you use?

Canon bodies, lenses & lighting equipment; including backups.

do you do other types of work besides weddings?

I really enjoy documenting weddings, but I also am available for engagement sessions, events, family photos, or portraits (ie. senior pictures).  Contact me for pricing & availabiity.
